El SMC7904WBRA4 combina el módem ADSL2/2+, con un router, conmutador LAN 10/100 de 4 puertos, punto de acceso inalámbrico de 802,11g y cortafuegos SPI robusto, que le convierten en la solución completa para conectar y compartir de forma segura su conexión ADSL de alta velocidad, tanto con cables como sin cables. Le ofrece conectividad instantánea a Internet con velocidades de descarga de hasta 24Mbps – ideal para difundir contenido multimedia en su hogar. El asistente de instalación EZ con ayuda en pantalla configura su conexión ADSL y red inalámbrica en 5 sencillos pasos. La calidad del servicio concede prioridad a aplicaciones en tiempo real sensibles al retardo como Voz sobre IP, y vídeo bajo demanda para mejorar la experiencia del usuario. El cortafuegos NAT con inspección dinámica de paquetes (Stateful Packet Inspection, SPI), sistema de detección de intrusión (Intrusion Detection System, IDS) y a prueba de ataques de denegación de servicio (Denial-of-Service, DoS) ofrece una seguridad robusta frente a hackers.
